Moving out of Florida – guide for beginners

Moving out of Florida – guide for beginners

Posted on September 30, 2019December 9, 2019 By Lisa Roberts No Comments on Moving out of Florida – guide for beginners

Whatever reason you have for moving out of Florida, you have to be prepared. No other state is like Florida. Not even similar. And if you have lived in Florida your whole life, this change might not be something you will enjoy at first. So to avoid feeling lost in your new state, read this guide for moving out of Florida for the first time.

Prepare for the move

The main part of every move is, of course, preparing for the move. Because you are moving from one state to another, it is important that you choose the best help available when moving. This means finding reliable movers. Besides being reliable, being affordable is important too. Moving expenses are already very big so it is very important that you don’t spend too much money on movers.

What you don’t want to do when moving from one state to another is rent a truck that you will use to move your stuff. This is a very hard thing to do and if this is your first interstate move, we suggest you stick to hiring professionals to help you.

Besides finding and hiring exceptional movers like those at orangemover.com, you need to pack. Packing is the next hardest step of moving after unpacking. So, maybe it would be a smart choice to leave these to the professionals as well.

How to pack when moving out of Florida?

Like we already mentioned before, there is no state like Florida. Besides packing everything you need in your new home, you will need to pack your clothing. And depending on where you are moving to, there are different things that you need to bring with you.

If you are moving more to the North of the country, you want to keep your coats and jackets. That is if you have any. If you don’t, now is the perfect time to purchase them. But if you are moving to states like California and Nevada, you might want to leave your rain boots behind. These states are very dry and there is almost no humidity. Just hot air. And if you lived in Florida, you know that it is extremely humid there and there is rain occasionally.

Where ever you are moving to, it is important that you check what the weather is like and what clothes you need to bring.

What people miss the most about Florida?

People who moved out of Florida never seem to enjoy other states as much as they enjoy Florida. But what are those things that people miss most about Florida?

Weather

The nice, sunny weather all year round is what people miss the most when they move out of Florida. Even though those who live in Florida can’t wait for a couple of slightly less warm days, those who moved away are almost crying because they miss the nice weather.

Beaches

Sadly, not every state has beautiful beaches like Florida. White sand, turquoise water, and blue skies are a regular sight in Florida. But other states are missing out on just that. Those who move out of Florida can’t get over the fact that they can’t visit those beaches whenever they want like they used to do.

Fresh seafood

Not that other coastal states don’t have fresh seafood but there is something different about eating it in Florida. Probably the nice weather and the beaches make eating fresh seafood even better than it already is. Who knows?

Florida’s seafood is something you can’t try anywhere else.

Affordable everything

What Florida is most known and loved for is its affordability. Housing is affordable, schooling, groceries, clothing. Everything is more affordable in Florida. This is because there is no state income tax. Even though the salaries are smaller than in other states, everything is so affordable that you don’t even feel the difference in payment.

It’s fun to live in Florida

Even though Florida is not the safest state in the United States, it is probably the most fun. Besides the beaches, bars, clubs, golf courses, and other entertainment possibilities, you have Disneyland. And for those who move away from Florida, the long drives to Disneyland just don’t make sense because they were used to living very close to this magical place.

Good schools

Not that there aren’t any good schools in the rest of the states but the schools in Florida stand out. Their students win many first prizes in sports and other competitions. There are also many great universities in Florida and many students move there just so they can go to one of these universities. This means that a lot of people living in Florida are young people. That’s exactly why there are so many fun things to do there.

Conclusion

Even though moving out of Florida is heartbreaking for many, it is nice to make some changes in your life once in a while. Other states have other things that will make you fall in love with them as you fell in love with Florida. But in order to do so, you will have to stop comparing every state to Florida and just enjoy what the state you move to has to offer. Yes, Florida is great but so are the rest of the states in the country. And if you never move out of Florida you might never find out. So if you have been thinking about moving out of Florida but you are too scared to do it, listen to our advice and do it. You can always go back to Florida if you don’t find a place you like as much as you like Florida or even close.
